Whether I am out in nature, walking along the Brazos
River, or painting here in the studio, I’m always looking for what lies below the surface and is beyond the obvious. To borrow a word from the poet Gerard
Manley Hopkins, I’m drawn to the “inscape,” the quiet
and self-revealing inner nature of things.
My drawings and paintings offer portals into the serenity of quiet places and natural settings. They also serve as doorways into the luminous self as the viewer engages with them.
Each time we allow ourselves to reconnect with the
natural world—directly or through engagement with fine art—we open ourselves to the deep peace that brings inner healing.
In my work, you’ll discover enduring locations where life is happening. You’ll stand in places where the land
holds a stillness that is palpable. And you’ll feel the
subtle breathing of the sky.
